How much does a custom song cost?

Services compared at a glance

This guide is written by Wishly, so we’ve stuck to facts you can check on each site. Alphabetical order. Prices are as listed on their website on October 9, 2026; currencies, options and tax can change the final total. An unknown detail is marked rather than assumed.

These are starting package prices, not a claim that the services offer the same song length or revision policy. Wishly is not accepting orders yet.

Why do custom song prices vary?

A custom song can mean a commissioned recording by a musician or an AI-generated track shaped from your notes. Those processes involve different work and choices. Human services may let you select an artist or agree on an arrangement, while AI services may focus on a form, generated options and a digital gift page. A lower price does not tell you whether the result will fit the person you are giving it to.

What does Wishly’s package price cover?

Their Personal Song is the planned full MP3 and lyrics package. The Full Song Surprise adds a photo film, lyric artwork and a vertical video for personal sharing. The same song is at the center of both. Choose the extras according to the reveal you want, rather than assuming the more expensive package has a different songwriting standard. The current catalog supplies the prices shown on this page.

Why is the starting price not enough?

A short personalized clip and a complete recording may serve different purposes. Compare the stated song duration and included files, not just the dollar amount. Wishly’s paid song length has not been announced, so this guide does not claim a like-for-like price per minute. Check the final offer on each provider’s site before paying, especially when a headline price refers to a shorter format or a selected artist.

Does a free preview change the comparison?

A free personalized preview can help you judge the actual result before buying. A library sample does something else: it demonstrates possible voices, moods and storytelling. Do not confuse the two. Wishly has playable examples, but a free personalized preview has not been confirmed. If hearing your own song before paying matters to your decision, check whether that feature is offered and what happens after you listen.

Which files should I compare?

An MP3 is the audio file. Lyrics let you read the words. A shareable gift page makes opening the song easier for a recipient, while photo films, artwork and vertical videos add visual ways to give it. Check whether these files are included or added separately. Also ask whether an available download belongs to the version you approved. More formats are useful only when they support your intended gift.

Can a subscription look cheaper than a one-time gift?

Yes, a monthly price can be presented beside a one-time package even though they are different commitments. Look at the billing interval, renewal terms, number of songs and any limits on unused credits. Wishly’s planned packages are one-time purchases with no subscription. A creator making frequent songs may prefer a subscription elsewhere, but a person buying one birthday gift should compare the total commitment rather than a per-song calculation.

What should I ask about edits?

Ask what can change after lyrics are written and what can change after audio exists. Editing a line of text is not the same as rerecording a vocal. Check whether name or factual corrections have a distinct process, how to submit them and whether the song must be approved again. Wishly’s included edit allowance has not been announced; its order support is intended to review an issue and explain the next step.

What about tax and currency?

Read the currency beside the package price and check the final payable total. Applicable tax may depend on location and the type of sale. A region selector changes the displayed catalog, not an authorization to charge a different amount. Wishly ordering is closed while payment and tax services are being connected. No displayed price on this site confirms a completed tax calculation or a live checkout session.

How should I budget for a time-sensitive gift?

A low price is not useful if the song cannot be ready for the occasion. Ask for an actual delivery estimate and leave time to listen, check details and handle a correction. Wishly does not yet publish a delivery duration or promise last-minute service. For an event with a fixed date, keep a fallback gift and do not plan an important reveal around an unconfirmed production schedule.

Does buying the song give me copyright?

Do not assume that buying a custom recording transfers ownership or commercial rights. A service can provide personal use while retaining other rights, and AI-generated material raises its own authorship questions. Wishly’s existing song license permits the stated personal, non-commercial uses and does not transfer exclusive rights. Read the license before planning a monetized video, a business event or a streaming release. The purchase price does not settle those permissions.

How do I choose within my budget?

First decide whether a human artist’s authorship is essential, then whether you need a personal preview and which delivered formats you will actually use. Listen to examples with the recipient’s taste in mind. Compare a specific package against a specific package, and keep unknown information visible in your decision. An honest brief, a comfortable reveal and correct details matter more than adding every available extra to the order.

Where should I check the latest price?

Use the provider’s own pricing or order page immediately before buying. This guide links to the sources for its comparison rather than treating an older roundup as a quote. Artist prices, promotions and plans can change. Wishly’s price display reads the current public catalog, but ordering remains closed. Starting a draft saves your ideas; it does not reserve a price, take payment or begin generation.

What do Wishly’s packages include?

A Wishly custom song costs $4.99 for the full song and lyrics, or $9.99 with a photo film, lyric artwork and a vertical video. It's a one-time payment with no subscription. Ordering isn’t open yet; you can save a draft.

Which sources did we check?

Compare starting prices with the included files, currencies and tax before deciding what the gift will cost. We could not confirm Songlorious’s current numeric price; OurSong’s terms describe AI-assisted lyrics and human production but differ from its homepage on currency, so check the provider before buying.
